We are so bored...

...so we made some snow angels on our front lawn after Molly went to sleep.

More Snow

So it's been snowing most of the day. We don't get a lot of snow that actually sticks to the ground up here, so today's weather has been a little out of the ordinary.

Due to the snow we're basically stuck at home--they even cancelled church tomorrow.

We went outside this evening and took some pictures.

Snow

Aunt Kate, Here is a picture of our house with the lights on!

It has been snowing here and we love it! The only bad thing is everything gets cancelled around here when it snows even a little bit. The news has non-stop coverage of the "Arctic Freeze". It's all a little dramatic, but it sure is pretty!

Christmas Lights

A few weeks ago we put up Christmas lights and Molly sat and ate crackers while she watched. She loves being outdoors no matter how cold it is.

She was being so msichevious the other day. I love when she smiles behind her pacifier.

Kisses

Sarah went to go kiss Molly the other day, Molly surprised her by leaning in to the kiss and meeting her half way. It was cute :-)

But leave it to our little ham to figure out that making a "sour face" when asked for a kiss got an even better reaction...

...or maybe we just have bad breath?

Christmas tree

We went to get our Christmas tree the other day. We decided on a smaller one so that we could put it on top of our table and Molly wouldn't be able to pull it down.

We wanted her to be nice and warm, but all the warm stuff she owns is pink. She ended up looking like pink threw up on her. Oh well, she was nice and toasty!

Trees are fairly cheap and abundant out here so we were in and out within ten minutes! Whoohoo!

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was nice, Sarah made a stuffed Turkey breast instead of a whole turkey and we had a good meal. Molly was sick and slept a lot, and by the end of the day Nathan was sick too.

Nathan and Molly sat in misery together. We had to take a picture because Molly never sits with us like this! She is not known for being cuddly so we have to enjoy it when it comes...even if it is because she is sick.

Lauren and Dusty

Sarah's cousin Lauren and her husband Dusty and their daughter Ella came to visit. Well the truth is, they came so Dusty could do an interview with OHSU to see if he wanted to do his neuro-surgery residency here. (He's really smart!) But we lucked out because they stayed with us for a few days. We had a great time with them!

Molly loved Ella!

Ella is the sweetest little girl. She was so much fun!

We bundled Molly up, because you know we had to take them to Multnomah falls!

Actually they were the ones that said they wouldn't feel like it was an official visit if they didn't go! We really enjoyed spending time with them. They are such an easy family to be around!

Molly crawls!

Molly has kinda figured out how to crawl (finally!). The bait? She loves to knock over block towers, so we built her some to crawl to and knock over. This video has three different clips of her crawling.

Family Pictures

So we took some family pictures on Saturday and Molly was a little less than cooperative. We did get some fun pictures, but most of our time was spent trying to get Molly to stop crying. It was such a different person than the little "ham" she usually is for the camera. Oh well!

I was trying to reason with her, but she wasn't really interested

Our fail proof way of getting Molly to smile is when Nathan dances with her.

We tried many times, but when we would all turn to face the camera, her face would go blank.

Still working on it!

She's still not crawling correctly. The good news is that she doesn't just push herself backwards now, she actually crawls backwards. We spend a good amount of time pulling her our from under the couch or coffee table! Hopefully she will figure it out!

Sarah's Aunt sent Molly this cute little stool with her name in puzzle pieces!
Molly really liked it. You can see she is quite fascinated with her tongue too!

Happy Halloween!

Molly's Grana made her a fairy costume for her first halloween. We loved it. She did such a good job. Molly really enjoyed playing with the leaves on her skirt. It was so much fun to dress her up and take her to the ward halloween party tonight!

Enjoying all that fall brings!

Last night we had some friends come over to carve pumpkins. We all had a great time. Nathan carved Molly's pumpkin for her. He tried to make it look like her (big eyes, big mouth!).
As they were leaving, the kids started playing in the leaves. This is Lee sitting in our very small pile of leaves!
The next day we got a phone call asking if they could come play in the leaves again. Here is our afternoon of leaves...

We raked up all the leaves in the street, as well as the leaves from 3 neighbors lawns! The pile was enormous and we had a great time!

Sam, Alaina, Lee, Mikayla, Rebekah, and Molly in our HUGE pile of leaves!

Rebekah and Molly.

Leaves were always so much fun as a kid...now they are just a chore. It was great to remember how much fun simple things can be!

The past three weeks

Sorry it has been so long since we last posted. Sarah and Molly were in California helping Sarah's sister-in-law with their new baby.

Before we left for California, Molly received a package in the mail from her Grana. It was her first baby doll. She absolutely loves this doll.
Here is baby Grant. He is such a sweet little baby.

Molly has been seriously teething lately and found the tupperware container to be a great teether!

Molly's cousin Peter wanted to hold her. He is not much bigger than she is. It was pretty cute to watch though.

Molly also loved baby Grant.
We had a great time out there. My sister in law Rachel is an amazing person. I love spending time with her.
Thanks for letting us come out to help!
